The short version. Klaxo has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising. Everything you create — teams, scores, recordings — stays on your device. Klaxo does send anonymous usage analytics — which screens and sounds get used — and you can switch them off in Settings at any time.
Klaxo is made by Webkoding. If you have a question about this policy, write to [email protected]. For the purposes of GDPR, Webkoding is the data controller — although, as set out below, we do not receive any of your personal data.
The following is written to your device's own storage and never transmitted to us:
Deleting the app removes all of it. We keep no copy, because we never receive one.
Klaxo asks for microphone access only when you tap record on the "Record your own" screen. Recordings are encoded on the device and saved into the app's private storage. They are not uploaded, analysed or shared, and no speech recognition is performed on them. You can delete any recording from within the app. If you decline microphone access, every other part of Klaxo continues to work.
Klaxo Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details, billing address or Apple ID. To decide whether Pro features are unlocked, the app asks StoreKit — Apple's on-device framework — about your current entitlement. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction: apple.com/legal/privacy.
When you host or join a Live Buzz-In room, Klaxo signs your device in anonymously with Firebase Authentication and stores the room in Firebase Realtime Database: the room code, the player names typed in, buzz timestamps, scores and verdicts. No account, e-mail or phone number is involved. The room is deleted when the host ends it; rooms abandoned without ending are ignored by the app after 24 hours. This data is used only to run the game.
Klaxo sends anonymous, aggregated usage events through Google Analytics for Firebase and Adapty: which screens are opened, which of the built-in sounds are played, and whether the subscription screen was shown, dismissed or converted. These carry no name, no email, no account, and never the contents of your recordings or the sounds you record yourself.
Settings contains a Share analytics switch. It is on when you install Klaxo; turn it off and collection stops immediately.
Apart from purchases, analytics and Live Buzz-In rooms, Klaxo does not need a network connection.
Klaxo is rated 4+ and is suitable for classrooms and family game nights. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and shows no advertising. The usage analytics described above are anonymous and are not used to build a profile of anyone.
Rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection apply to personal data held by a controller. Klaxo's analytics events are anonymous and aggregated, and are not linked to an identity we could look you up by, so there is no record we could retrieve, correct or export on request. Switching the analytics off in Settings stops collection entirely. You exercise full control directly: delete individual recordings and teams in the app, or delete the app to remove everything at once. If you believe we hold data about you regardless, contact us and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.

This website (klaxo.webkodingtheme.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, to see which pages and referring sites bring people here, and to record when a visitor taps through to the App Store. It collects the page viewed, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring site. IP addresses are anonymised, and Google advertising signals and ad personalisation are switched off — this data is never used to build an advertising profile and is never joined to anything you do inside the app. See Google’s privacy policy.
